This is nothing more than a pill mill. The doctor never ordered any type of MRI or x-ray, but simply put me on pain meds. I went to a new doctor - immediately had an MRI and they discovered the pain was being caused by severe arthritis in my neck. All the pain meds were doing was masking what was really wrong. I am scheduled for a procedure to hopefully alleviate the pain - without the use of meds. The most embarrassing thing was when I was accused of "diverting" my pills on my last visit when I was released - then, they had the gall to charge me over $700 for the visit - more than $500 over the normal visit fee. I am appealing the charge to my insurance company. If they thought I was misusing or diverting my meds, I should have been called in immediately for a pill count - which would have proved to them that I was not doing what I was accused of doing.

I have been goin to doc Dakawa for many years. Him & his staff & Mrs. Rosie are so sweet & are always nice and polite. They take time yo answer any questions that you may have and they actually listen to you. When I go there im just another patient I am someone that they actually care about helping. I would recommend him to anyone that once to be helped bc he will come up with alternatives to treat you rather than always trying to fix it with a pill. Dont get me wrong if meds are need he will medicate but thats not the only option. So for those who may need pain management i wouldnt look any further.

Dr. Dakwa and his staff at The Heag Pain Management Center are WONDERFUL. They are straight up and offer other solutions than just narcotic pain treatment. The doctors' bedside manner is like having your best friend in the room with you and do is everyone who works there. I give them 5 stars. He is the best by far in this area. He holds nothing back and treats you like a human being. He and his staff are kind and gentle a full of love and hope for your future. I would trust no one else with my illness.
